Simplifying return to practice for physicians
Retired physicians are necessary to increase the health workforce supply during the pandemic.
The CMPA is supporting physicians coming out of retirement by providing rapid CMPA membership under the
Humanitarian work category (following licensure from the appropriate College). Additionally, we have worked
with the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) to provide immediate membership to newly re-licensed
Quebec physicians who retired in the last 3 years and are returning to practice to support pandemic efforts.
