Self-referral for mental health care
The mental health and wellness of health care workers may be negatively impacted by the pandemic..
The Ministry of Health and Ontario Health partnered with five hospitals to provide specific services for
frontline health care workers. CAMH is providing access to mental health and addiction supports for health
care workers in need of support who might be negatively impacted by COVID-19. These services include
access to resources, Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT/Psychotherapy) as well as Psychiatric Services.
Individuals who meet the following criteria are eligible to self-refer for psychotherapy and psychiatric services:
• You are a health care worker in Ontario;
• You are impacted by stress related to COVID-19; and,
• You require mental health and/or addictions support.
Please note that in addition to CAMH, the following hospitals are offering self-referral services: Ontario Shores
Centre for Mental Health Sciences; St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton; The Royal Mental Health Centre, and
Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care.
